The regular monthly meeting of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission (NWGRC) Council will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Rome Civic Center, located at 400 Civic Center Drive in Rome, Georgia.
The Nominating Committee will recommend a slate of officers for 2022 and 2023, which subsequently will be voted on by the Council membership.
The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission is issuing “Request for Proposals” (RFPs) to provide Career/Case Management Services, Work-Based Learning Services, and Youth Services in the following Northwest Georgia counties: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Pickens, Paulding, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield. These services in Northwest Georgia are served through the Northwest Georgia Workforce Development Program.
The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission has been selected as the Grant Sub-recipient for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds. Funding is contingent upon availability of funds under WIOA or other federal job training services which provide similar services if they should become available.
