This survey is for the study “Improving Accessibility in Rural Areas: Expansion of Whitfield County Rural Transportation Service” conducted by Elisabeth Staten and Dr. Abhinav Alakshendra for the University of Florida under the department of Urban and Regional Planning. The goal of this study is to estimate the need of public transportation in Dalton and the residents’ willingness to ride public transportation.

A meeting of the NWGRC Personnel and Financial Management (PFM) Committee will be held at (9:30 A.M., immediately prior to the NWGRC Council Meeting. This PFM Committee meeting will be held in the Conference Room of the NWGRC’s Rome office, located at 1 Jackson Hill Drive.

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission (NWGRC) is the recipient of a new Economic Development Administration Revolving Loan Fund grant for the region’s small businesses. Micro-loan funds are available to aid in efforts to alleviate the sudden and severe economic dislocation of the region’s small businesses and to see significant improvement in employment in the region caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Eligible small businesses must be located in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker, or Whitfield counties.
