Public Hearing Notice – Regionally Important Resources Plan Update – February 15, 2024

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission has prepared a draft update to the Northwest Georgia Regionally Important Resources Plan. The plan identifies regionally important environmental, natural, historic, and cultural resources, with recommendations and best practices for these resources.

The Regionally Important Resource (RIR) Plan was prepared with input sought from each local government and stakeholder in the region. The draft RIR plan will be available to view after February 13, 2024 at https://www.nwgrc.org/northwest-georgia-regional-plan-update/

A public hearing on the draft Regionally Important Resources Plan will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Rome Civic Center, 400 Civic Center Dr, Rome, GA 30161, during the meeting of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission Council, beginning at 11:00 am.

All meetings of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission are open to the public.
